My 6th CUP

In this cup i will share a lot of informations about my practicum school, since it's already my second weeks in Chiang Rai

Everyday the students have to use uniforms. On monday they are using sport uniform, on Tuesday and Wednesday they are using cream and blue colour uniform, on Thursday they are using casual clothes, and on Friday they are using Blue colour uniform. 

In Kindergarten, every classes has it own TV. The teacher use it as a teaching media. For example, the english teacher use it to show a simple vocabulary video to the students. The school support all the teaching materials, so the teachers don't have to buy it anymore. But, most of the teachers in Kindergarten, they are using the objects that are around, so the students will easily understand. 

Observation on Teacher(s)

Planning for Teaching 

For the teaching plan, every year before they start new semester, all the teachers gathered and make a conference, they discuss about the subjects and the topic they are going to teach for one semester ahead. After they had the subjects and the topics, they make the schedule for each topics and then made the workbook. 

Preparing Lessons and Materials 

Teacher gives some topics and one topic is for two until three weeks. Teacher uses flash card, video, and fun games to make the students easier understand about the new vocabularies. Quick recap and explain about the vocabularies and then give students some questions. 

Teaching in Class

In introduction step, teacher explains and discuss about the previous lesson. Ask students about previous lesson, to check students’ understanding. Quick recap of past topics before starts main activities.  

In main step, teacher will ask students to tell about what the picture in the flash card means or the video together and correct some miss pronunciation, then the students are asked to repeat the vocabularies. Teacher will explain the meaning of the vocabularies. After that, teacher will ask some questions that related to the vocabularies. 

In closing, teacher guides students to make conclusion and and recalling 

Measurement and Evaluation

For the measurement and evaluation that the teacher use in classroom based on my observation are performance assessment, workbook and worksheet assessment, short investigations, open-response questions, self-assessment, and portfolio
