4TH CUP : Pedagogical Contents

Still about my daily life in Chiang Rai,
Today is Friday and i just want to say...
Thanks God It's Friday !! Yoohooo

Just like yesterday, the students at the School came at 8 a.m, have their morning ceremony, playing at the plaground, etc. What makes today different is, in Kindergarten 3 they have English subject on every Thursday and Friday with teacher Donna.

Before they start studying, teacher Donna give a small talk to the students to review what they learn last week. The students listen and repeat what She said, for example "Good morning", "How are you", "Nice to meet you", etc.

The students they already know the alphabet, and know how to count from 1 to 100 in English, and they also know a simple imperative sentence for example "Open your book", "Open the door", etc.


Today's topic is about Clothes, they learn from the videos and also learn using other friend's clothes as the media. It is more interesting and easier if the students learn from something they often see everyday, it makes them understand and remember the vocabulary.


After the video, teacher Donna give them the workseet. In this worksheet, students have to write the name of the clothes and coloring. It is not hard for Kindergarten 3 because most of them already understand. For the english it self, it has it own workbook. The colour of the book is pink colour.


After they learn English, as usual they will play at the outdoor playground, had their lunch, brush their teeth and take a nap. But for today, the students will play at the sand box near from their class. They bring their own tools and after their finish playing, they are washing the tools and go back to the class to take a nap.


Pedagogical Contents 



Teaching methods 
The School using classical method with teacher center to teach the students. Every classes has two homeroom teacher, the first is the lead teacher and he secont is the assistant teacher. For class with special needs student it have one teacher as a guardian or a shadow teacher.  

At the first, the teacher will give an explanation and after that the students will do he workbook. The students can draw or do anything with their workbook to develop what’s on their mind as long it is related to the topic. For the English teacher in the school is have to teach in dual language there are English and Thailand Language, to make students able to understand English well, teachers should make an explanation simple but clear and for the other subject’s teacher, they have to teach in a fun way.  

Learning Materials and Innovation
Using material based on Basic core curriculum. For innovation, teacher is using materials from internet and some local materials such as local knowledge to teach in the class. 


Sources of Learning and Technology 
Every teachers at Kindergarten Satit Rajabhat School use student’s workbook. Teacher can make an activities and add other materials from internet. Use learning media such as picture, audio-visual media like video from youtube and also technology media such as power point,. In additional can use extra work sheets on handouts. 

Authentic assessment
Authentic assessment that the teacher use in classroom based on my observation are performance assessment, workbook and worksheet assessment, short investigations, openresponse questions, self-assessment, and portfolio.
